Difficult Phone Call Stress

Whether you're calling your mother to cancel Sunday lunch (again) or trying to convince your boss you are really ill, tricky calls can cause an adrenaline rush, resulting in nausea and palpitations.

Before you pick up the phone, try this technique called hand-warming. Stare at the hand you write with and imagine it getting warmer. This causes your temperature to rise, returning the blood to the vessels near your skin and relaxing you, so you're less nervous when you make that call.
